The Coventry Urban-Air Port demonstrator, the first for a UK city, has opened its doors to visitors as part of a programme to understand how vertiports can strategically and operationally be integrated within an urban transport planning process. The demonstration includes displays and presentations from local authorities and first responders, along with large drone flights from the take-off and landing area. The vertiport has been designed as a circular structure and the take-off/landing pad is raised and lowered hydraulically in the centre of the structure.
