EVA, a leader within the drone and robot infrastructure market and Unifly, a pioneer in Unmanned Traffic Management technology, have announced they are joining forces, reports suasnews.com.
Together, the two partners provide a complete solution for the drone services market by combining EVA’s drone infrastructure (portable Vertical Stations) and Unifly’s pioneering UTM technology. Through this partnership, EVA and Unifly are streamlining the safe integration of drones into the airspace and offer operators from private organisations to government agencies, support for their operational requirements.
The Vertical Stations serve as the connecting nodes between the sky and ground, providing charging and storage, a UTM system and flight operation planning. Olivier Le Lann, CEO at EVA, explained, “We are now entering the golden age of the drone industry and EVA has always positioned itself to assist this industry in the various ways drones can be used. We have followed Unifly’s impressive global track record and believe their team offers a great chemistry for us.”
The resulting all-in-one drone infrastructure benefits a wide variety of use cases including medical supply and parcel delivery, disaster relief, logistics, smart cities, on-demand infrastructure inspection, etc.
Laurent Huenaerts, General Manager at Unifly, commented, “The partnership between the two companies was a no-brainer. Our two companies share complementary technologies as well as a similar vision to enable large-scale routine drone service applications around the world.”
He continued, “We believe this partnership, helps to further unlock the economic, societal, and environmental benefits drones have to offer.”
