Unisphere has today published a new white paper which explores how simulation technology and data analytics can drive advancements in Advanced Air Mobility, especially in the network design for AAM and vertiports.
The whitepaper analyses the impact, inter alia, of range limitations on network design (eVTOL aircraft have reduced range due to battery energy density, making route planning critical for high service availability) and weather sensitivity. Wind significantly impacts flight time and energy consumption, requiring careful consideration alongside factors like energy reserves and IFR routing requirements, say the authors.
