Japan’s UAS association joins Canada’s advanced air mobility consortium to strength international collaboration

“The global insight of JUIDA as our newest addition to the CAAM ecosystem has been key to our international network expansion. We look forward to integrating the research, development, and insight of JUIDA into Canada,” said JR Hammond, Executive Director.

Canadian Advanced Air Mobility (CAAM) is a federal not for profit organization that is helping structure what sustainable air transportation will look like in Canada. CAAM was founded in partnership with Canada’s leading federal research and development organization, the National Research Council of Canada (NRC). Together, CAAM and the NRC, collaborate with Transport Canada and NAV CANADA to create the clearest path for connecting Canada and the world through the future of flight. It is the catalyst for the new Advanced Air Mobility industry in Canada.

CAAM partnered with over 50 member organizations ranging from industry, investors, infrastructure and academia as well as all three levels of Canadian government to launch projects aimed at getting the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) industry off the ground. Its goal is to create a national Advanced Air Mobility strategy for Canada while implementing regionally relevant business use cases.

JUIDA aims to actively promote the industry of the next-generation mobility systems. In July 2021, it clarified that next-generation mobility systems (AMS) such as flying cars would be included within its scope of efforts, and that it would proceed to contribute to industrial promotion by making next-generation mobility systems (AMS) an integrated industry.

JUIDA continues to enhance its collaboration with external organizations and contribute to international standardization activities as well as regional revitalization.
