The City of Paris, the mayor of the thirteenth arrondissement, Jérôme Coumet and several environmental protest organizations are challenging the French government’s decision to start Volocopter air taxi operations from a vertiport floating on the river Seine by the Gare d’Austerlitz train station.
According to a report in Le Monde:
“They’re seeking to obtain the urgent cancellation of the authorization granted on July 4 by the Ministry of Ecological Transition, and its minister delegate for transport Patrice Vergriete. Le Monde has learned that two applications for interim injunction were lodged on July 15 and 17.”
Volocopter eVTOL flights are due to start in Paris in the next few days, in time for the summer Olympic Games.
