The Victorian Government has released its Advanced Air Mobility Industry Vision Statement, which outlines the commitment to support the development of an AAM ecosystem, and to provide the certainty to underpin investments in Victoria.
The Victorian Government says it is backing industry development of next-generation quiet electric aviation technology to assist Victoria to meet its 50 per cent renewable energy target by 2030, encouraging the decarbonisation of logistics and transport networks.
In a statement on its website the Victorian Government says “AAM promises new opportunities in emergency services, healthcare, regional service delivery and regional connectivity over the coming years.
“With an anticipated increase in the state’s Gross State Product (GSP) by AUS $2.8 billion, creating an average of 1,300 new jobs annually and producing cost savings of AUS $546 million across multiple industries, with AUS $68 million of this in transport over the next 20 years, AAM in Victoria will provide a range of new investment opportunities and position Victoria as a leader in the adoption of sustainable aviation technology.”
