AAM Institute publishes guide to Brazil’s air mobility industry

The Advanced Air Mobility Institute has announced the release of its latest report, Elevating Brazilian Mobility: São Jose Dos Campos, the Air Capital of Latin America. Authored by Fernanda Siniscalchi, the AAM Institute’s Liaison to Brazil and Treasurer of the Board of Liaisons, in collaboration with Larissa Paganelli, the Institute’s Regulatory Affairs Officer to DECEA, the report provides an in-depth examination of the current state and future potential of Brazil’s Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) landscape.

“This report offers a comprehensive view of Brazil’s AAM ecosystem, focusing on key players, progress, challenges, and opportunities,” said Ms. Siniscalchi. “By sharing insights, we aim to foster international collaboration, promote knowledge-sharing, and encourage partnerships between Brazilian and global stakeholders. The report also emphasizes the importance of building public trust and acceptance, which are essential for advancing AAM systems and infrastructure.”

“The Elevating Brazilian Mobility report highlights the importance of local AAM developments, especially with Brazilian eVTOL projects focused on urban and regional air mobility,” added Ms. Paganelli. “Brazil’s vast territory has attracted attention from both domestic and global stakeholders, and regulators are prioritizing the legal frameworks necessary for operational readiness, particularly in safety and infrastructure. The AAM Institute is committed to fostering collaboration to help society experience the benefits of this innovative aviation technology.”

Writes the institute: A special thanks to Moya Aero for sponsoring the report demonstrating Brazil’s emergence as a key hub for AAM innovation. Companies like Eve Air Mobility, Moya Aero, and Vertical Connect are advancing eVTOL testing with operations targeted by 2030, while regulatory bodies such as ANAC and DECEA are developing frameworks to ensure safe, efficient operations. Infrastructure planning is also underway, with airports being assessed for future vertiport use.
