The likely global market for one, two and four-seat advanced air mobility vehicles between 2020 and 2040 will be for 2.5 million units, according to a presentation from Michael Rowe, Vice President of Aerospace and Defence at Frost & Sullivan, speaking at the ARPAS UK “State of the drone and AAM market” at the recent DroneX event in London.
“It is likely that the first large AAM aircraft will initially be used for cargo carrying,” he said.
In a related presentation, Craig Roberts at PWC suggested that by 2040 the advanced air mobility industry will be generating UK2.1 billion to the UK economy through the use of 2,136 4-5 seat capacity aircraft and 121 11-12 seat eVTOLs.
