Drone Delivery Canada (DDC) announced this week the successful trial of its second cargo-drop drone route with DSV Canada, using DDC’s own delivery platform, reports a company press release.
The aim of the rollout is for DSV to deliver various forms of cargo, including healthcare-related, from an area at DSV’s warehouse in Milton, Ontario to a drop-spot at Reckitt Benckiser (RB) in Milton, approximately 4km away. RB is a global producer of health, hygiene and home products.
Michael Zahra, President & CEO of DDC, in a prepared statement, said, “The initial implementation of our first contactless, commercial cargo-drop project with Reckitt Benckiser, has been completed successfully.” Adding, “The route includes flying over Highway 401, one of the busiest highways in the world, adding a unique dimension to this project.”
