Multirotor UAV manufacturer Quaternium has started a collaboration with Benidorm Police for a First Response pilot programme using the company’s HYBRiX drone.
According to a company news report: “The First Response setting of HYBRiX will include an advanced EO/IR camera with 30x zoom on a three-axis gimbal, together with transponder and a dual auto/manual FTS system. Such configuration will enable the Police Aerial Unit to perform a wide range of missions, including aerial monitoring, search & rescue, fire prevention and inspection tasks.
“For this to happen, the City Hall of Benidorm, through the Council of Citizen Security, has developed a Regulation for Police Aerial Operations in the City in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Once approved, this Regulation will provide a framework for the safe implementation of the foreseen aerial applications.
