New guide to passenger eVTOL global regulations, standards, CONOPs and roadmaps published

The Urban Air Mobility News and Global AAM/UAM Market Map teams have launched a new update to the dynamic publication AAM regulations, standards, CONOPS and roadmaps for passenger-carrying operations, which gives subscribers an up-to-date view on the regulations and standards being developed around the world for passenger and large-cargo-carrying eVTOL aircraft flights. This gives an overview of the standards and rules in place and under development, plus relevant commentary on the different approaches taken by national aviation safety organisations. The Guide breaks down the market into the follow areas:

  • AAM Policy, CONOPS and roadmaps
  • AI, autonomy
  • Airspace management
  • eVTOLs and other AAM aircraft, including propulsion systems
  • Maintenance
  • Vertiports and infrastructure, including charging
  • Non-aviation stakeholders

It identifies the key regulations and roadmaps for these areas nationally and internationally. The guide then identifies the AAM/UAM standards work underway with Alliance for Zero Emissions Aviation, ASD-STAN, ASTM, BSI, EUROCAE, ISO, JARUS, RTCA, SAE.

Finally, the guide identifies key industry roadmaps and concepts of operation which are being used to drive industry planning and investment
