The Alliance for Zero-Emission Aviation (AZEA) supported by the European Commission has published a list of initial members that include 74 entities from across the aeronautical industry.
The Alliance’s website describes itself as a voluntary initiative of private and public partners who share the objective to prepare the entry into commercial service of hydrogen-powered and electric aircraft.
The website further reports that the Alliance “wants to bring the actors from across the ecosystem around a table and start planning for the roll-out of these aircraft. The involvement of smaller industry players and start-ups working on air transport solutions that are climate-neutral will be especially welcome.”
The objectives of the Alliance are described as “preparing the market for the entry into service of zero-emission aircraft”.
