MONTE and Cycladic announce partnership to retrofit aircraft for zero emission propulsion

MONTE has announced it has signed an agreement with Cycladic, a regional airline in Greece, to explore the conversion of Cycladic’s fleet to zero emission propulsion technologies. MONTE reports it will work with Cycladic to identify the most suitable zero emission propulsion technology for its operations, and will then offer financing for the conversion of its fleet once this technology is approved and certified.

Cycladic is a regional airline in Greece that has been created to offer inter-island air services between the Aegean Islands to support local communities and visitors alike.  According to the press release “Cycladic has launched operations with a fleet of new, Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX aircraft. Cycladic is committed to reducing emissions from its operations and to decarbonise air transportation in Greece.”
