China’s The Paper news source reports Zhejiang University has acquired an early model EH216. “The school plans to develop the first-generation “flying car” test prototype this year and complete the first flight goal,” according to the newspaper report.
Meanwhile, according to GlobalSKy Media, quoting Flight International, says the cost of purchasing an EH216 will be USD302,000.
EHang director Nick Yang, was reported as saying the model was 90 percent through its certification process with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), which should be completed this year.
