SkyDrive advances in India through partnership agreements with Cyient and Marut Drones

SkyDrive Inc, a Japanese eVTOL aircraft manufacturer, has over the last few days announced two major partnership agreements with Indian companies to advance SkyDrive eVTOL operations in India.

On 12 January SkyDrive Inc and Cyient, a global Intelligent Engineering and Technology Solutions company headquartered in Hyderabad, India, announced the companies have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a joint technical collaboration on the “SKYDRIVE” eVTOL. “This is our first and unique partnership with an Indian engineering company, which agreed to work across product development, engineering, manufacturing, and digital services,” according to SkyDrive.

Said BVR Reddy, Founder Chairman and Board Member of Cyient: “Engineered in India has an immense potential to contribute to the future of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) not just in India but globally. This partnership will empower SkyDrive to tap into the engineering ecosystem of talent and technology available in India through Cyient and serve the global UAM market, including India. This is also our pledge to our communities and the environment to be pioneers in shaping a better world for everyone.”

On January 16 SkyDrive and Marut Drones, a drone technology manufacturer in India signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) “to enter into the partnership to make a significant milestone in the development of futuristic air transportation in India,” according to a company press release. Under the agreement, SkyDrive and Marut Drones aims to explore and establish mutually beneficial relationships and networks.

Marut Drones is India’s a drone technology manufacturer with a focus on developing drone-based solutions to persistent societal problems. “It aims to build the agricultural infrastructure of the next 100 years that will provide the world with sufficient, diversified, and safe food.
