Several on-line press reports say Shanghai-based eVTOL startup Vertaxi has unveiled the full size prototype of its five-seat M1 eVTOL. The company plans to certify the cargo model first with 500kg payload.
According to February 2023 reports the company completed its latest round of financing in December last year. The company has its R&D centre, production plant and flight trial centres in Shanghai and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
“Vertaxi has raised a total of 150 million yuan (US$22 million) in its second round of funding,” reports the Shanghai Daily. “Skyview was in charge of the investment drive….The funds will be used primarily for research and development of M1 aircraft, as well as test flights and additional funds for airworthiness certification.”
