Fly Now, a personal eVTOL manufacturer based in Salzburg, Austria, is set to provide thousands of electric helicopter aircraft to Saudi Arabia by 2030 to enhance mobility and sustainability during the International Expo in Riyadh, according to a Linkedin post by Mohammed AlQahtani CEO at Saudi Arabia Holding Co.
Fly Now plans to open a regional office in Saudi Arabia within the next month or two and build an assembly line for local production and sales, as well as export to global markets in the Kingdom. Fly Now’s initiatives align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, placing the Kingdom at the forefront of urban air mobility, says the post.
Key features of Fly Now’s eVTOLs include: single-seater and two-seater models, with the latter capable of carrying 200 kg, a fully electric version powered by batteries and future hydrogen-powered and hybrid versions.
The electric version can cover 50 km; hybrid version up to 200 km with a flight speed of 130 km/h, says the company.
