EVT Aerotechnics ET9 “completes 300kg cargo test flight at Xuzhou base”

China eVTOL News reports that EVT Aerotechnics has announced that its 2-ton ET9 prototype has completed a cargo-carrying multirotor flight at the company’s Xuzhou test base.

“The aircraft, which carried over 300 kilograms of cargo, performed takeoffs and landings between two points, validating its power system and flight parameters. The milestone sets the stage for future transition flights.”

The ET9 prototype, independently developed by Evite (Nanjing) Aviation Technology, completed its maiden flight in March this year.

According to the company:

“The maximum take-off weight of ET9 is 2.2 tons, it can carry 5 people or 500 kilograms, has a maximum range of 240 kilometers , and a maximum speed of 240 kilometers per hour. It can be widely used in high-frequency freight, special tourism, emergency rescue, urban air travel and other scenarios….The founding team of YVT comes from aviation institutions such as COMAC and AVIC, and has extensive experience in the development of manned aircraft.

“The ET9 structure adopts an integrated all-composite wing and modular design, and achieves extreme weight reduction through fine finite element analysis. The fuselage is manufactured in cooperation with AVIC General Aviation Pilot Composites Co., Ltd., which has experience in manufacturing a variety of manned aircraft and has outstanding airworthiness.”
