EHang’s EH216-S has completed the seaside city’s first passenger-carrying pilotless eVTOL flight today. According to the Chinese eVTOL manufacturer, five EH216-S were delivered to local customers, planned for applications in low-altitude tourism, urban transportation, and emergency response.
Meanwhile, construction has begun on the Nan’an City Urban Air Mobility Operation Center in Xinhai Wetland Park, says EHang, in a Linkedin post. “With support from Nan’an city’s government and partners, EH216-S will gradually operate in scenic spots like Zheng Chenggong Memorial and Xinhai Wetland Park, boosting the city’s low-altitude economy development.”
