Bristow Group conducts test flight of BETA ALIA eVTOL

According to a BETA Technologies Linkedin post:

“Yesterday, BETA customer Bristow Group conducted a qualitative evaluation of ALIA that culminated in a crewed flight of our SN1 aircraft. The flight, which follows previous qualitative evaluations conducted by test pilots from the U.S. Air Force, Army, and FAA, was piloted by Bryan Willows, Bristow’s Program Manager for Advanced Air Mobility, alongside BETA test pilot Christopher Caputo. The flight allowed Bristow and Willows, a rotorcraft Airline Transport Pilot and Powered-lift CFII with single and multi engine airplane ratings, to provide valuable input on the development and handling of ALIA, a vital step as we progress toward certification and operations.”

In August 2022 Bristow Group placed a firm order for five ALIA-250 eVTOLs, with the option to purchase an additional 50 ALIA aircraft.
