Chinese eVTOL developer AutoFlight reports in a Linkedin post that it has broken ground on its new assembly facility on April 10 in Wuhan’s Hanyang District. “AutoFlight and the Hanyang District of Wuhan have established a cooperative framework to develop a model demonstration zone for China’s low-altitude economy, supporting broader advancement in this emerging economic sector,” said the company. “The Wuhan facility will serve as both an assembly base and exhibition centre, handling aircraft final assembly, ground testing, flight testing, sales and service, delivery, and product showcases. AutoFlight will actively participate in developing Wuhan’s low-altitude economy and collaborate on initial demonstrations of specialized low-altitude operations and future passenger services in the city… The partnership will facilitate demonstration projects showcasing innovative applications in aerial firefighting, emergency response operations, air logistics, and other relevant fields.
“At the groundbreaking ceremony, Wang Xunan, President of the China United Nations Procurement Promotion Association, announced that Hanyang Investment Development Group has officially been designated as the first registered supplier of eVTOL aircraft for United Nations procurement. Hanyang Investment Development Group will also support AutoFlight’s international market expansion through the “Belt and Road” cross-border supply chain. This collaboration will facilitate the distribution of AutoFlight’s large eVTOL aircraft to Central Asian markets and other regions, while establishing cross-border operational partnerships between China and European countries.
“AutoFlight’s independently developed CarryAll is the only Maximum Takeoff Weight (M.O.T.W.) eVTOL more than one ton that has secured both TC Type Certificate and PC Production Certificate globally to date. The Airworthiness Certification process for the 5-seat passenger version, Prosperity, is expected to be completed in 2026.”
