Fly On E Sustainable Aviation in a Linkedin post reports that the Bye Aerospace E-Flyer is “on track for FAA Part 23 certification and service entry in the next 24 to 30 months.”
E-Flyer aircraft is a purpose-built, clean sheet design electric aircraft for private use and pilot training, but will also be usable for single passenger air taxi services; Fly On E has secured a pre-order of five E-Flyer serial numbers in the early production queue, ahead of more than 700 other global pre-orders, said the operator.
“At an operational cost of less than half of legacy fleet aircraft in the same class, the E-Flyer will radically change the economics and status quo of pilot training for flight schools and private operators utilising the FlyOnE Sustainable Aviation fleet. FlyOnE will also deploy the aircraft for stage 2 electric passenger transport testing and expansion with our Air-Charter partner Rottnest Air Taxi – Wadjemup Air Services for Australia’s first commercial electric air taxi passenger operations between Perth and Rottnest Island.”
