China’s United Aircraft “rolls out 10-seater pilotless tilt-rotor prototype”

Chinese media and other trade press report outlets that Shenzhen United Aircraft Technology  has rolled out the prototype Lanying R6000, the “world’s first 6-ton tilt-rotor UAV” and will be displaying it at the 2024 Zhuhai Air Show in November 2024.

According to Chinese media source IT Home: “The maximum take-off weight of Lanying R6000 is 6 tons, the maximum commercial weight is 2 tons, it can carry up to 10 passengers, the maximum range is 4,000 kilometers , the fastest cruising speed is 550 kilometers per hour, and the maximum cruising altitude is 7,620 meters. Lanying R6000 has the ability of vertical take-off and landing and hovering in the air like a common helicopter, and also has the advantage of high-speed cruising of a fixed-wing aircraft. It adopts a tilt-rotor configuration.”
