FI 2024: AAM operations planning company LYNEports wins Aerospace Xelerated start-up competition

Advanced air mobility operations planning company LYNEports has been selected as the winner of the Aerospace Xelerated (AX) Startup Pitch Competition at the 2024 Farnborough International Airshow.

The Romanian company,  specialising enabling ground and airspace integration of eVTOL and drones with intuitive and user-friendly geospatial software – was selected as a winner amongst the five other innovative finalists, including Eddytec, Estuaire, Sora Aviation, OneGrab, and Flux Aviation.  As the pitch competition winner, the LYNEports team will receive UKP5,000 of prize money, six months of mentorship from the Aerospace Xelerated team, and an exclusive exhibition space for the 2026 Farnborough International Airshow to help the company grow its business. The second-place winner, Eddytec, will also get a prize of £2,500 and three months of mentorship.

The pitch competition invited startups offering solutions in three challenge areas: Innovative Workforce, Sustainability in Aerospace, and Next-Gen Travel. Overall, 20 innovative startups applied to participate in the pitch competition. Of them, six are UK-based, nine are female-founded, and ten are working on sustainability-focused solutions, highlighting the growing emphasis on diversity, innovation, and environmental responsibility in the aerospace industry.

The pitch competition was part of the airshow’s first-ever dedicated Startup Zone. In addition to the pitch competition, the Aerospace Xelerated Innovation Zone showcased 16 startups backed by Aerospace Xelerated and hosted a stage featuring panel discussions with industry experts, workshops, product demos, and more.
