Miami-based Doroni has launched a two-seat H1X eVTOL, a development of its of H1 prototype.
The company says it will be flight testing the new aircraft this year with the first customer deliveries by 2025, if R&D, production and FAA certification can be obtained in time.
The company plans to certify the H1X as an ultralight aircraft for operation in urban areas.
Design featured include:
- a tandem wing configuration to enhance lift and efficiency
- eight vertical electric powered motors
- ballistic parachute and advanced anti-collision sensors
- a joystick-based and semi-autonomous flight control system
