In a Linkedin post Beta Technologies has announced it has opened its 188,500 sq. ft. full-scale aircraft production facility in South Burlington, Vermont.
“The facility, which will create hundreds of green jobs in the area and support the manufacturing of up to 300 all-electric aircraft per year, is net-zero emissions – making it the most sustainable manufacturing facility east of the Mississippi River,” said the post.
Beta announced in March 2023 that it would certify its CX300 electric conventional aircraft – with orders from Air New Zealand, Bristow Group and United Therapeutics – by 2025 and plans to certify the Alia eVTOL by 2026.
