Panhwar’s long-range, Electrobird business jet plans for first flight in December 2023

Woods Cross, Utah-based Panhwar Jet has given an update on its programme to design and build the world’s first all-electric long range business, cargo, and medical supplies aircraft, the Electrobird.  The aircraft is being designed to fly 1,250 nautical miles at a maximum speed of 250 knots at an altitude of 32,000ft, and carry 1,400lb of cargo or all passengers, powered by a 10kw/hr battery. First flight is scheduled for December this year.

“We are excited to announce that the fuselage for our all-electric plane will be ready and arriving in our hangar by the end of May,” says the company. “This significant milestone brings us one step closer to realizing our vision. …To accelerate our progress and achieve our ambitious goals, Panhwar Jet is raising funds for our Series A financing under SEC Regulation D. This regulated raise allows us to maintain control and avoid significant equity dilution. Our strategic decision aims to focus on achieving a crucial milestone: flying our plane in the air by December 2023. This milestone is crucial not only for us but also for our investors, as it presents an opportunity for significant returns on their investment in a short period of time.”

According to the company website:

“One of the key factors that differentiates Panhwar Jet from other electric planes in the market is our revolutionary onboard power generation system,” says the update. “By integrating advanced power generation technologies, we have significantly reduced our reliance on heavy batteries. This breakthrough allows our planes, designed for business, cargo, and medical transportation, to have longer flight times, making them more practical and efficient for these specific purposes. “

The latest programme timeline is:

  • 2026 – Complete FAA certification by Q2 2026 and start delivering aircraft by Q4 2026
  • 2024-2025- IPO in 2024 and setup manufacturing
  • 2023-2024 – First flight and set world records by December 2023. Start taking pre-orders in Q1 2024
  • 2022-2023 – Complete production of first prototype by September 2023 and expect to have FAA experimental certification by October 2023
