On November 6 2022 during the MEBAA show in Dubai, Air Chateau and vertiport provider Kookiejar of Sweden (KOS) signed a partnership to establish vertiport Operations in Dubai, UAE.
Air Chateau, a United Arab Emirates heliport operator with a heliport & VIP Lounge Terminal at the Dubai World Central (DWC) Al Maktoum International Airport-Dubai Helipark, can now add vertiport operations to its portfolio of services.
“With Air Chateau we get a partner to develop both our standard services and our premium product (Kookiejar Select) whilst being able to utilize Air Chateau’s existing operations licenses and established infrastructure. It’s a truly strategic partnership”, said Kim Silander founder of Kookiejar.
Kookiejar is established in Sweden and has already signed an agreement with Norrköping Airport, host of the AERO-oriented European Digital Innovation Hub backed by the European Commission and Vinnova, the Swedish government agency that administers state funding for research and development.
“Selecting Kookiejar as a partner was a natural choice considering their business-oriented approach. They are EASA oriented and we believe this helps since our own national regulator GCAA and EASA has such a close collaboration”, said Dr Samir Mohamed, Founder and Chairman, of Air Chateau International. Both parties will work to develop the facility and associated standards in 2023.
