Multiple social media reports say that on June 21 EHang delivered five EH216-S unmanned manned aerial vehicles and one VT20 series logistics unmanned aerial vehicle to Zhuhai Wanshan Development Group.
“This marks a major step forward in the creation of the first island low-altitude economic application scenario in China by the Zhuhai Wanshan Marine Development Experimental Zone,” said a report on X. “This model will be used in the first unmanned manned aircraft sightseeing route built in Wanshan District.”
According to the China Daily news service:
“The Wanshan Marine Development Experimental Zone (Wanshan Zone) located in the east of Zhuhai is one of the first such comprehensive marine sites in China. The zone plays an important role in both the economic and social development framework of city, particularly affecting its “Blue Marine” economic development strategy. Wanshan Zone is located in the Pearl River Estuary, covering 3,200 sq km of sea area with 106 islands of various sizes. The main islands are Guishan, Dong’ao, Large Wanshan, Small Wanshan, Baili, Huangmao, Wailingding, Dan’gan, and Miaowan.”
